At approximately 5.50am I observed a light in the sky (west). at first i thought it a bright star but it was moving in an easterly direction. i assumed it was an airplane until i realised it made no noise and was travelling faster than a typical plane would. I called my wife to see. it traversed east at quite a speed, the journey west to east took approximately 1-2 minutes. Any clues?

Did NASA admit to the existence of so called ‘orbs’ back in 2006?
On February 1, 2003, space shuttle Columbia disintegrated on re-entry, killing everyone onboard. During the investigation of the accident, it was established that a piece of insulating foam from the external fuel tank had peeled off during the launch 16 days earlier and struck the shuttle's wing.

Curiosity stumbles upon another metallic-looking, shiny object on Mars
On its 173rd day on Mars, Curiosity stumbled upon a metallic-looking, shiny protuberance on a rock. The protuberance seems different than the rock on which it sits and looks pretty smooth. It is, however, quite small — probably not taller than 0.5 cm.
