The reports are in: No disclosure in Las Vegas

September 24, 2012Comments No comments

Recently, UFOEyes wrote about the National Atomic Testing Museum’s UFO lecture that was to be held in Las Vegas this past weekend. The museum’s director promised some interesting new information and former UK MoD UFO expert Nick Pope said he would disclose some hitherto unrevealed secrets of the British government’s UFO project. Well, the reports are in — there was no big announcement out of Las Vegas over the weekend.

What was interesting, though, was former Air Force Col. Charles Halt accusing the U.S. government of a UFO cover-up that involves a secret agency to deal with what might be extraterrestrial visitations. Lee Speigel over at The Huffington Post quotes Halt as saying:

I’ve heard many people say that it’s time for the government to appoint an agency to investigate.

Folks, there is an agency, a very close-held, compartmentalized agency that’s been investigating this for years, and there’s a very active role played by many of our intelligence agencies that probably don’t even know the details of what happens once they collect the data and forward it. It’s kind of scary, isn’t it?

Halt was clearly frustrated with Nick Pope and John Alexander, both of whom disagree that there is a cover-up at all. So what should we believe, when a former military official of Halt’s rank and experience so strongly asserts that there is in fact a UFO cover-up in place?
