This bright, sphere-like object was observed near Arona, Italy on December 12, 2012.
The eyewitness was taking her daughter to school when the object was observed, around 12:15pm. At first she thought it was the moon, but on closer inspection she noticed that it was moving and that it had flashing lights on its left side. She also mentioned the object’s high altitude in her report, speculating that it was flying too high to be a hot air balloon.
CUFOM (Centro Ufologico Mediterraneo) is investigating the footage.
