Nick Pope to solve Rendlesham forest case

January 9, 2011Comments 4 comments

The Rendlesham forest incident is getting a lot of buzz these days. Recently, key witness Jim Penniston’s notebook containing binary code surfaced after 30 years, and now this — former Ministry of Defence UFO investigator Nick Pope is teaming up with a bunch of paranormal investigators and psychics to solve the case in a new TV show.

Someone is really trying to kill the case, aren’t they?

  1. “Someone is really trying to kill the case, aren’t they?”

Is the implication of this statement that Penniston and Pope are trying to derail and discredit the case? Hard to believe. I agree that bringing psychics into the mix doesn’t immediately foster credibility, even if they are gifted and accurate. Their “readings” still have to be confirmed in some more conventional way in order to convince most people.

I would be interested to hear more form the writer of the above,

    • Hi Will,

No, I believe the jury is still out on the Penniston case, but Mr. Pope is taking an interesting approach here. I don’t think he’s trying to derail the case per se, but I fail to see how this will do anything but water down the case.

These people that are going to solve it on the show, who are they?

Well, we’ve got TV presenter/producer and DJ Paul Wookey acting as a paranormal investigator, comedy hypnotist and former DJ Alan Bates, rescue medium and psychic artist Christine Hamlett Walsh, and finally, part-time actor and paranormal investigator Emily Booth.

But I don’t know, maybe it will be a good show. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

  2. Thanks. I hope so.

  3. There’s a Facebook discussion about the show here, with both Nick Pope and Jim Penniston chiming in.
