Amateur astronomer George Hall of Dallas, Texas, was video-recording Jupiter on September 10, 2012, when he managed to catch a small asteroid or comet on video as it smashed into Jupiter. The huge fireball could be seen for only a few seconds, but it’s enough to make one realize the smallness of our tiny corner of the universe.
